Lady Daphne Writing Competition
Want to enter a writing competition with the chance of being published? Take a look at this exciting opportunity in partnership with historic flagship Lady Daphne:
EMILY CHARLOTTE
Hello! I'm a writer, proofreader, and editor based in Cornwall, UK.

First and foremost, I am a writer. I adore being by the sea amid all the Cornish gorse and headland, preferably with a book in hand or my laptop by my side. I write my own novels in my spare time, read a LOT of books and I'm proud to be one third of PaperBound Magazine, a publication which celebrates young adult and children's literature.

I can help you with:

-
Proofreading (academic journals, lifestyle articles, blogs, non-fiction, memoirs, fiction, and more)
-
Editorial feedback on manuscripts

I have worked both in-house and freelance for different companies, including The Eden Project, Penguin Random House, Cornish Story magazine, local newspapers, and independent bookshop Lost in Books over the past several years. I put my all into whatever I do - and can't wait to get started on new projects. I have an MA in Writing for Young People from Bath Spa University, where I specialised in children’s and young adult literature, and a BA in Creative Writing from Falmouth University, and I'm co-author of Cornwall: Secret and Hidden. With a love for all things creative, I work with talented writers who share my ambition to create and promote quality writing and sharp, eye-catching content.
My own writing has been shortlisted for Best Novel Opening in Searchlight's Writing for Children Award, longlisted for the Bath Children's Novel Award and Exeter Novel Prize, and I love championing other writers and shouting about their work, and I have a passion for helping others hone their craft and develop their writing.
By working with me, you'll get honest, detailed and respectful feedback that will propel you forward with ease.

Want to work together? I'd love to hear from you.
